Today the few days of vacation turned into a visit to the Table mountain. The cable car had been closed for a couple of days due strong winds but was reopened this morning. We felt lucky even if the wait for the tickets and the cable car took over 1,5 hours. Many tourists had apparently been waiting for the reopening!
Fantastic mountain with a fantastic view! If you haven’t done this before do consider it. This part of Africa feels almost not Africa. Some call it “Africa light”. More European than any of the other parts I have visited during Cape to Cape.
Tomorrow I am going back home and therefor the swim in the Indian ocean became a swim in the south Atlantic today. Last chance!
The Indian Ocean is officially stating at point Agulhas a few hours car drive from here. I guess it is just a matter of drawing a line somewhere so it could perhaps be questioned, but I have officially taken the pilot swim in the Atlantic today.
Last time was this summer in July when I did the Barent sea in about 6 degreas above feezing!
Now I guess the trip is over…
Next part of the adventure will perhaps be the opening of the doors of the 40 feet container and see if the aeroplane has survived the boat trip… in about 4 weeks…
After that I will also announce the three lucky winners in the lottery (FundedByMe campaign that ended yesterday) to do a flight with me in the DH60 Moth next spring/summer!
